I know the other way around - Taiwan is exporting fruits and some goods to the Philippines - the giant garlic cloves (cheaper than the Ilocos bawangs) are from Taiwan. You know, veggies price dropped here since last quarter of 2007. They are really cheap now (on a side note: that's why our canteen serves a lot of greens every meal). As a form of protest, farmers dumped a truck of fresh cabbage (take note, not rotten)infront the government building in one of the counties here.
