Who Will Be the King of Wimbledon?

Hello, tennis fans. Are you looking forward to the next big battle in men’s tennis? No, I’m not talking about Roland Garros, let’s give the French Open crown already to Rafael Nadal. It seems like no amount of wishful thinking by Roger Federer fans like myself will turn Roger into a French Open champion so let’s concede the French to Rafa and spare ourselves the heartburn.

Anyways, the next big battle in men’s tennis would be Wimbledon, the tournament of tournaments or The Championships as the British call it. I’m hoping that Roger will win this one. However, he’s not been playing well these days so who will emerge as the 2008 Wimbledon Champion is a big and legitimate question?

What’s your take? Do you think Roger will overcome his slump? Or will Rafa finally kick Roger’s butt in his third try? Maybe the partly entertaining and partly annoying Novak Djokovic will repeat his Australian Open triumph and declare himself the King of Tennis? What about the under-achieving Andy Roddick, does he stand a chance against the top three?

Arrgh. I wish I was in London and I wish I’ve got some Wimbledon tennis tickets to see any of the above possibilities happen. Who knows, I might even see my tennis crush, Jelena Jankovic. Seeing Ana and Maria would be a bonus too.
