Ever heard of Cisco? No, it’s not a biscuit; you are thinking of Nabisco not Cisco. I’m sure some of you — particularly those who are adept in computer technology — are pretty familiar with Cisco.
For those of us who are not quite familiar with it, according to my source, a.k.a the ever reliable wikipedia, Cisco is a multinational company which designs and sells networking and communications technology.
It goes without saying that, like any other big info technology company, Cisco needs qualified people with the right certification who are into designing those networking and communications technology that the company is focused on.
So, if you are in the phase of your life where you are like “Oh my God, I don’t know what to do with my life, I don’t know what course to enroll in in college. Maybe nursing, maybe law, maybe accounting?”, why not consider taking a Cisco certification course instead?
It could also be a good alternative if you are having some sort of a midlife crisis [hehe] and would like to shift gears away from the “good old job that pays the bills but there’s no room for growth” which you are stuck in right now. Heck, if the projects I am currently focusing on do not work out, I just might rekindle my early interest in IT and go the Cisco way. I’m told that there is a huge potential for growth for Cisco certified people so maybe we should consider it, no? What say you?

We’ve been talking about the song, Nan Layad Nan Likhatan, in our other blog [here and here] but we haven’t uploaded any video performance of the song. Good thing the Pe’tune Band have this video which they recorded during their performance at the Baguio Convention Center. Good job, guys.We will upload a more soulful version of the song when we find one.

If you are a fan of Italian music, then it is very likely that every now and again you will be looking for the lyrics of some italian songs. Instead of wasting your time googling for the songs you are looking for, it might be easier if you just check out this site: testiecanzoni.net. It is a web site which has a good compilation of the lyrics of different Italian singers.
If you are looking for the songs of Eros Ramazzotti, for instance, then testiecanzoni.net is the site to visit. It has the lyrics of Ramazzotti’s songs such as Cose Della Vita, Dolce Barbara, and many others. [Note: I’m sure Lovelyn is familiar with Ramazzotti, but for those of us who do not know him, he is a pretty famous singer in Italy, in Europe, and — quite interestingly — the Spanish speaking world such as South America.]
Now, if you are more of a Antonello Venditti fan rather than a Ramazzotti fan, you can also find Venditti’s song lyrics at testiecanzoni.net. Examples of Venditti’s songs which you can find at the site would be Dalla Pelle Al Cuore, La Mia Religione, Che Fantastica Storia รจ La Vita, and many others.
Seriously, as stated earlier, this is a good site to visit if you are so into Italian music or if you are just looking for the lyrics of an Italian song that somewhat intrigued you.
But it’s not just Italian lyrics that you can find at said site. You can find the good old lyrics of your favorite Beatles songs, or that of Queens, or the songs of Amy Winehouse, or Linkin Park, and — not surprisingly — Madonna. [It’s not surprising because Madonna is, after all, Italian isn’t she?]. Anyways, www.testiecanzoni.net also has a collection of lyrics from non-Italian singers which makes the site all the more interesting and which makes it also worth checking out even if you are looking for non-Italian songs.

07.22.08We’re Brothers Forever — An Ibaloi’s Version
Oops. Sorry. I’ve been ignoring this blog. It’s hard maintaining two blogs but I still haven’t figured out how best to merge them. Anyways, do you remember Reynaldo Lapuz? I’m sure you do, he’s the Fil-Am guy who became famous [infamous?] after his American Idol audition where he sang his own song, We’re Brothers Forever.His fans produced different versions of his song which isn’t surprising because it’s really catchy [and as I stated here, sounds much better than the Olympic theme song hehe].
Anyways, here’s an Ibaloi’s version of Renaldo’s song courtesy of igoysiak, a kailiyan currently based in Illinois.
