Ay kakabsat ken kakailiyan, hehe, i-promote ko man daytoy barbaro nga blog ko. I felt guilty and silly writing sponsored posts in this blog and in our other blog so I decided to come up with a new blog where I can do sponsored posts shamelessly. Eh dahil malapit na din ang Olympics and one of my first ever writing assignment years ago is to do an Olympic story so I decided to come up with The Olympian Blog.
I need your feedback on how to improve it further. It is still a work in progress so all suggestions, criticisms, etc. are welcome. Can I also shamelessly beg for a love link from your blogs? I will link back of course hehe.
Visit our newest blog here and fire away. Thanks, friends.

I’m just wondering if this blog looks weird for those of you who are using Internet Explorer as well as those using any other browser that is not Firefox.
Today, I added navigation links at the bottom as well as at the upper right corner of the blog but when I tried to see how it looks with Internet Explorer, I noticed that the contents of the middle sidebar (Regular Updates, Recent Comments, etc) are pushed down to the bottom so there’s a big amount of white space in the column.
I’m not sure whether this is a problem in the past which I haven’t noticed before or whether it happened because of the recent navigation plug-in I added. I hope that it’s only the Explorer in my computer that makes the blog look weird.
Thanks so much and I really appreciate your feedback. Iyaman kasin kailiyans!
Scott Wainer has a post on aging which raises the question of why anti-aging research has not gotten much attention. He advances several possible answers (the urgency of other health or social problems, religion, the certainty of death or the-we-are-all-going-to-die-anyway mentality, etc.) and suggests that more research should be done on aging.
He also asks bloggers to add their two cents on the issue and get US$20 in return plus a back link from his highly-ranked blog. Pretty good return on investment, eh? So you should take up his challenge as well before someone else grabs the 100th spot.
Anyways, of those suggested by Scott, I would think that probably the most important reason as to why anti-aging research has not gained much attention is the fact that there simply are more urgent problems out there. If you are a government official with a limited budget for instance, would you spend your money funding research on aging or would you spend it on AIDS research? The latter appears to be the more urgent problem so it won’t be surprising if the official pours the fund on it instead of the former.
